We are excited to start this side project to explore underwater Lake Lanier for the purpose of discovering, preserving history, and mainly to bring back more information to the community (and the people that enjoy Lake Lanier!) about hazardous areas as to increase safety and hopefully prevent drowning by spreading awareness of what lurks beneath the water.
The more we know about what is underneath the lake, the more we can prevent injuries, prevent losing lives, and prevent damages to boats.
We are using a top-of-the-line underwater drone capable of capturing high-quality photos and videos from underneath the water, and can retrieve items from the lake's bottom.
We are part of the Lake Lanier community and we believe that the more we know about what lies beneath the water's surface will help increase public awareness and safety. This project is our way to utilize our knowledge, experience, and equipment available to us to give back to our community, preserve the history, and assist first responders.
This is a project we are taking on in our own free time and is a separate project from our company, but we still work in collaboration with and use the company's resources to make this project successful.
We're looking for help of any kind for this project from volunteers who may have some information on the lake, to grant writers and anything else that could help us to create a successful project.
At this point, we are also looking to help offset the burden of cost it requires for us to do these explorations on our own free time and eventually assist with purchasing extra equipment such as sonar so we can expand our capabilities in our project to better assist, preserve history, and save lives. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Your contribution will enable us to continue this project in our own free time and eventually help with the purchase of new equipment. We are very grateful for your generosity.
If you have any information that may assist us to find underwater points of interest in Lake Lanier, you are welcome to contact us below. We are looking for underwater structures, obstacles, etc... or anything part of the history of Lake Lanier!
